如何使用IMAP服务？

IMAP是什么？
IMAP，即Internet Message Access Protocol（互联网邮件访问协议），您可以通过这种协议从邮件服务器上获取邮件的信息、下载邮件等。IMAP与POP类似，都是一种邮件获取协议。

IMAP和POP有什么区别？

POP允许电子邮件客户端下载服务器上的邮件，但是您在电子邮件客户端的操作（如：移动邮件、标记已读等），这是不会反馈到服务器上的，比如：您通过电子邮件客户端收取了QQ邮箱中的3封邮件并移动到了其他文件夹，这些移动动作是不会反馈到服务器上的，也就是说，QQ邮箱服务器上的这些邮件是没有同时被移动的。但是IMAP就不同了，电子邮件客户端的操作都会反馈到服务器上，您对邮件进行的操作（如：移动邮件、标记已读等），服务器上的邮件也会做相应的动作。也就是说，IMAP是“双向”的。

同时，IMAP可以只下载邮件的主题，只有当您真正需要的时候，才会下载邮件的所有内容。

如何使用IMAP服务？
使用IMAP很简单，首先，您需要先在QQ邮箱中启用IMAP功能，然后，配置好客户端，就可以使用了。

如何开启IMAP服务？
请进入：邮箱设置->帐户，然后选中开启IMAP服务。

请注意：开启IMAP时会同时开启POP3/SMTP服务，如果您不需要POP3/SMTP服务，可关闭POP3/SMTP服务。关闭POP3/SMTP后，您将只能接受邮件，不能发送邮件。

如何配置邮件客户端使用IMAP服务？

请先确定您的客户端支持IMAP协议，目前已经支持的有：

电子邮件客户端：

Foxmail
Outlook Express
Outlook 2003
Outlook 2007

无线设备：

iPhone
Windows Mobile
Symbian

如果您的邮件客户端不在上述列出的范围内，您可以尝试如下通用配置：

接收邮件服务器：imap.qq.com

发送邮件服务器：smtp.qq.com

账户名：您的QQ邮箱账户名（如果您是VIP邮箱，账户名需要填写完整的邮件地址）

密码：您的QQ邮箱密码

电子邮件地址：您的QQ邮箱的完整邮件地址

IMAP服务是否支持SSL加密？

是的，目前IMAP已经支持SSL加密，如果您的电子邮件客户端支持SSL，可以在设置中选择使用SSL。

使用SSL的通用配置如下：

接收邮件服务器：imap.qq.com，使用SSL，端口号993

发送邮件服务器：smtp.qq.com

账户名：您的QQ邮箱账户名（如果您是VIP邮箱，账户名需要填写完整的邮件地址）

密码：您的QQ邮箱密码

电子邮件地址：您的QQ邮箱的完整邮件地址

IMAP服务目前有什么功能限制？

目前IMAP暂时还不支持删除文件夹和重命名文件夹的操作（后续版本中会支持）。

其他关于IMAP的已知问题

1、如果您的文件夹名字中有特殊符号（如全角的空格），会导致在部分手机上接收邮件时出现“检查信息失败”的情况，建议您在命名文件夹时，不要使用特殊字符；

2、在Moto E1200手机中，使用SSL加密方式接收邮件时，会一直提示“验证中...”，建议使用Moto E1200的手机用户不使用SSL加密功能；
